Q1 2024 KICKED OFF WITH EXCITING NEWS FROM OUR PORTFOLIO COMPANIES, CHEERS TO PODCASTLE AND ACTIVELOOP FOR SUCCESSFULLY RAISING THEIR SERIES A ROUNDS!
Podcastle has secured a $13.5M Series A round led by Mosaic Ventures , supported by RTP Global , Point Nine , SIERRA Ventures , and Andrew Ng ’s AI Fund . This investment bolsters Podcastle’s aim to be the go-to audio & video production and distribution platform for podcasters, marketers, educators, and content creators. Further driving its 2024 growth, Podcastle has enhanced its leadership with strategic hires: Allan Rechtman , former VP at Canva, is now Chief Commercial Officer; Damian Sacco , previously leading growth at Prezi, joins as VP of Growth; and Dmitry Kopylovsky , with experience from Uber and Facebook, steps up as Chief Marketing Officer. These leaders are poised to propel Podcastle’s market expansion and innovation.
Activeloop (YC Alum) closed a $11M Series A round from investors like Streamlined , Samsung Next , Alumni Ventures , and Dispersion Capital . Activeloop Deep Lake is the database for AI. It addresses the crucial need for a unified, efficient approach to handle the vast, untapped reserves of complex, unstructured data and bridges the gap between AI model training and production.
BiosimAI and Deep Origin have merged, bringing together their advanced molecular simulations and computational infrastructure to accelerate drug discovery. Michael Antonov , co-founder of Deep Origin, and Garegin Papoian , founder of BiosimAI, emphasized that this collaboration will transform life sciences, enabling faster and more accurate development of therapeutics, with the ultimate goal of extending human longevity.
