Docassemble is amazing software - an open source document creation platform that is more powerful than pretty much any of the commercial contract automation products on the market. It came out of the access to justice world and I've written before about its incredible author, Jonathan Pyle.

Docassemble is important for a number of reasons:

• it's a concrete step to address the access to justice disaster around the world, and should be supported by the whole legal profession for that reason alone
• it's free and that matters to GCs struggling to get IT budget
• it's open source so you can build on top of it and easily extend it

We are keen users of Docassemble at Radiant Law and are integrating it with other systems we use. We want to contribute to the project (beyond putting the card behind the bar at the annual conference) and so I'm thrilled to announce that we have released an open source (MIT) library that integrates Docassemble with DocuSign. You can now create a contract in Docassemble and send it straight out for signing at the click of one button (no fiddling around with fields).
