The FEU will hold its first Leadership Conference at INTERSCHUTZ - Hannover 2026
The Federation of the European Union Fire Officer Associations (FEU) will hold its inaugural Leadership Conference at INTERSCHUTZ 2026, bringing together 300 fire service leaders from across the globe. FEU President Stephan Wevers and Bernd Heinold of Deutsche Messe highlighted the partnership’s aim to strengthen international collaboration in fire safety, focusing on innovations and strategies to enhance public safety, resilience, and cross-border cooperation within fire and rescue services.
ROCKWOOL UK signs deal to purchase land and eyes West Midlands for non-combustible insulation
ROCKWOOL has purchased 114 acres at Birmingham's Peddimore site to establish a new manufacturing facility featuring electric melting technology for non-combustible stone wool insulation. Managing Director Nick Wilson highlights the facility’s role in supporting UK sustainability goals, creating jobs, and expanding ROCKWOOL’s UK production. ROCKWOOL will consult with the local community before submitting plans to Birmingham City Council to adapt existing permissions for the project, fostering local engagement and economic growth in the West Midlands.
Motorola Solutions acquires 3tc Software Ltd.
Motorola Solutions has acquired 3tc Software, a UK-based provider of control room solutions for Fire and Rescue Services and Police. 3tc's computer-aided dispatch software enhances 999 call-taker efficiency by integrating real-time caller locations and responder positions. Mahesh Saptharishi , Motorola's CTO, stated that this acquisition expands their Command Center portfolio, while 3tc's CEO, David Todd , expressed enthusiasm for enhancing services to emergency customers.
