In this EE draw, 1,613 individuals were invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence. These individuals were all Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates, meaning they had already been nominated by a Canadian province.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required to be eligible for this draw was 743, which is considered high, especially since it was only open to PNP candidates. However, the CRS score for future draws is expected to be lower, as they will likely be open to candidates from multiple categories under EE category-based draws.

PNP-specific EE draws

PNP-specific Express Entry draws are targeted at skilled workers who have already secured a provincial nomination. This nomination indicates that a Canadian province or territory has identified the candidate as meeting their specific labor needs.

These draws are typically held with a higher minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score compared to general Express Entry draws, as the candidates already have the advantage of provincial nomination. This strategy allows Canada to expedite the immigration process for individuals who are already aligned with provincial economic priorities.

The CRS is likely to drop for upcoming Category-based draws

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score needed to qualify for Express Entry draws is anticipated to decrease in the near future. This is due to IRCC's plans to conduct more category-based draws. These draws will focus on candidates with French language proficiency and those working in high-demand occupations, potentially leading to a lower overall CRS cutoff.
