Last week Boeing’s newest Dreamliner, the 787-10 took its first test flight – also called the maiden flight – from Charleston, South Carolina. With its 224 feet (68 meters) long it is the largest Dreamliner until now and it can carry 330 passengers. The 787-10 is the third model in the Dreamliner family and so far 149 plans have been ordered and with the delivery scheduled in the first half of 2018. The maiden flight is “a big, big milestone for us and our customers,” Boeing Chief Executive Officer Dennis Muilenburg said on a company webcast of the event. “We’re bringing innovation to the marketplace.”
