The latest on Computer Vision and Robotics in Logistics
Prime Vision
Prime Vision is a global leader in computer vision integration and robotics for logistics and e-commerce.
Perhaps it hasn't escaped your notice, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the Prime Vision brand. We are very proud of what we have achieved in those 20 years. We started with just 14 people focusing on #OCR only, and over the course of 20 years we have really widened our portfolio.
We would particularly like to thank our customers, employees and partners for these great 20 years and look forward to the future. Happy reading!

Official opening Prime Vision Innovation Center
March 9, we celebrated the official opening of our new Innovation Center in Delft. Our Robin #robots put their best wheels forward in a demo-setup and during a nice drinks & pizza party all the attendees got a chance to get a feel of the space.
For the #robotics team and other departments, the test center will be a place of innovation and growth. It will enable us to develop better products and services, so as to serve our customers even better.
If you would like to see our Robins in action, then contact us to plan a visit to our innovation center.
Posti’s sorting got faster thanks to Prime Vision's Flow Projector
Finnish delivery and #fulfillment company Posti Group Oyj is working with a total of 38 of our Flow Projectors. Prime Vision installed the projectors in two #sorting centers. The machines project numbers onto #parcels, so employees can see at a glance where to sort the parcels to. Thanks to the Flow Projector, sorting at the Posti centers near Helsinki and Turku is faster and it feels more natural.
The Flow Projector owes its name to keeping the flow going during sorting. When workers can see numbers on the parcels, they need to do fewer actions than before. They immediately see in which bin, container or truck the parcels belong. For example, they do not have to read the label or look at their handheld. The projectors make the manual sorting process up to 40% more #efficient.
Prime Vision updates ISO 26000 corporate social responsibility self-declaration
Corporate Social Responsibility (#csr ) is important to Prime Vision. We operate with care and respect for the current and future interests of all. To achieve this, we minimize our footprint and maximize the positive impact on our immediate surroundings. As guideline for our goals and actions we follow the #ISO 26000 standard.
Since 2021, we have our ISO 26000 self-declaration successfully verified by the Netherlands Standardization Institute (NEN). Recently we updated this self-declaration. Our new statement is available here.

Automation keeps growing
In the near future there will be a continuation of #automation in #postal and #parcel sorting centers. #Manualsorting will become extinct in years to come. Further automation will occur in what you may call a traditional way: by investing in new buildings that house large-capacity #sortingmachines.
But increasingly changes will be made by adding flexible, scalable solutions to existing buildings. Even pop-up sorting centers are not out of the question. Systems will also be smarter: in addition to ‘just’ telling you what happened yesterday and what is happening today, they will tell you which steps to take next.
What other #techtrends are there in 2023? We have listed the most important ones for you. Let’s take a closer look at the technical trends for the coming years.
