Latest Blockchain Newsites

With so much going on in the world of crypto every day, it can be tough to stay on top of the latest news.

Luckily, there are a few wonderful cryptocurrency news sites out there that’ll help you stay abreast of the latest goings-on.

1. CoinDesk

CoinDesk reports on the news from across the entire crypto sector. The extensive site publishes several articles per day and covers more than just news. You’ll find thought-provoking feature-length pieces, market analysis, and opinion pieces.

There are news sections dedicated to the underlying technology, crypto investments, and real-world applications of blockchains.

The site’s also a great place to start for cryptocurrency beginners. Click on the Blockchain 101 tab at the top of the page, and you’ll discover answers to some of the most commonly-asked Bitcoin and cryptocurrency questions.

Lastly, traders might find the Data and Research section to be useful. It monitors prices, tracks ICOs, and includes a mountain of industry insight.

2. Cointelegraph

Cointelegraph is an independent news site that focuses on cryptocurrency, the blockchain, and decentralized applications that deploy blockchain technology.

The was only launched in 2013, but it’s quickly grown to become the second most widely-read crypto news site on the web.

Cointelegraph has news sections dedicated to several of the major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple, and Monero. There are also sections covering scams, smaller altcoins, and industry regulation.

Away from the news, Cointelegraph offers a handy ICO calendar so you never miss the launch of a high-potential new coin, a selection of market and price analysis tools, and an impressive amount of feature-length content.

Note: Some ICOs are scams! Make sure you do plenty of due diligence before parting with your cash.

3. Bitcoin Magazine

Upon its launch in 2012, Bitcoin Magazine took a more Bitcoin-centric approach to the news.

As the site matured, the approach changed. Today, the news is split into 14 distinct categories. They cover everything from real-world adoption to crypto uses on the dark web. Other crypto assets also get plenty over coverage, especially Ethereum.

Like CoinDesk and Cointelegraph, the site also offers learning resources, market information, and an extensive opinion section.

4. Null TX

Null TX—formerly The Merkle—is one of the youngest sites to make the list. It’s only been online since 2014. The entire crypto sector receives coverage, but the site occasionally branches out and reports on the news in associated markets.

It’s a great site if you’re interested in the trading aspect of the crypto sector. The site’s Coins and Price Analysis sections post regular “price watch” articles and arbitrage opportunities.

Null TX also has an extensive Reviews section. It focuses on hardware, software, exchanges, and more.

5. CryptoCoinsNews

CryptoCoinsNews (or more commonly known as CCN) is a sister site of Hacked. However, while Hacked tends to focus on coin analysis and trading advice, CCN is purely news-based.

Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum receive the lion’s share of the attention, but some smaller altcoins also get coverage when something noteworthy happens.

The content is slightly more business-orientated than the other pages we’ve covered so far. If you want to learn about mergers, price changes, and new product offerings, this is the site for you.

CryptoCoinsNews also provides a learning portal. It’s not as in-depth as its competitors’, but it’s still an excellent place to brush up on your knowledge.

6. NewsBTC

Despite the name, NewsBTC covers all the leading altcoins as well as Bitcoin.

The news is divided into six primary categories: Bitcoin, Crypto, ICO, Blockchain Projects, Crypto Tech, and Industry News.

NewsBTC publishes at least 10 new articles every day, so it’s unlikely that any of the biggest headlines will slip through your net.

The site has a couple of other cool sections that help it stand out from the competition. They include a section dedicated to press releases and an events directory.

You will also find an ICO calendar, some learning resources, and a crypto business directory.

7. Cryptovest

Cryptovest is a multi-faceted crypto and blockchain news site.

In addition to regular breaking news stories, it also offers exclusive interviews, exclusive articles, and heaps of content covering the markets and technical analysis.

Cryptovest also has video-based news content. It wraps up the biggest stories in video form every week.

Lastly, you’ll find news about upcoming ICOs and industry events.

8. Coin Hooked

We’re all busy people—do we really have time to check in on dozens of news sites every day just to keep out fingers on the pulse?

One solution is to curate your own RSS feed, but even that takes time. Instead, you should check out Coin Hooked.

It pulls articles from several leading crypto news sites (including CoinDesk, Cointelegraph, NewsBTC, and Null TX) and displays them all in a never-ending scrollable page.

There’s also an impressive infographic section. Just click the Infographics link in to top right-hand corner to access it.

9. Ethereum World News

Once again, the name of the site is deceptive. Ethereum World News covers all aspects of the crypto and blockchain world, not just Ethereum.

Unfortunately, the sit doesn’t divide its news content into sections. As such, it’s not ideal for people who are interested in a very specific part of the headlines.

Elsewhere on the site, you’ll find an ICO database, information on crypto mining, price analysis, and even a careers section.

10. Reddit

As always, Reddit is a treasure trove of information.

In fact, multiple subreddits are worth subscribing to. The main page (complete with price ticker) for the entire cryptocurrency sector can be found at /r/CryptoCurrency, but you should also keep an eye on the coin-specific subreddits as well as the trading-specific page, /r/CryptoMarkets.
