Late last month,
I was privileged to participate in the 2024 Annual Circle, a gathering of DACH leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs, this year in the marvelous city of Hamburg.
Speakers included Christian Wulff, former President of Germany; Rudolph Scharping, former Federal Minister of Defense (during the Balkan crisis); entrepreneur and investor Michael Saur, Founder and CEO of SAMAG Group; Dr. Johannes Troger of Ameria AG, and yours truly.
The presentations (and discussions) touched on the immediate and the critical: the health of western democracy, the health (and risks) of societies threatened by a shortage of potable water; and the opportunities (and risks) of artificial intelligence.
Thought provocation of the highest order. A most memorable day.
All due to the marvelous organizational and networking efforts of Andreas Oerter, the serial entrepreneur and former METRO Group executive, and Wolfgang Lux, global retail strategy consultant, and former Media-Saturn managing director.
