Over 2 million upstream and midstream oil and gas meters are processed each month for measurement data. These meters have a mixture of recording technologies, including flow computers and chart recorders. More than 175 billion data elements are generated annually. Each record must be reviewed and corrected for errors.  Who takes care of this and how do they do it?  Measurement analysts generally are responsible and they work hard. But, often they are overloaded at the critical, end-of-month finalization period. They simply cannot review and edit it all. Especially, when they are bombarded with late data.
