Late comers

Socrates did not like waking up early in the morning, and his mother wanted him to become an engineer. So one day, she went to his teacher and requested her to explain to Socrates the benefits of waking up early.

Teacher: "Socrates, I’m going to tell you a beautiful story, and you’ll have to tell me what you learned from it, alright?"

Socrates: "Alright."

Teacher: "Once upon a time, there were two birds. One woke up early in the morning, caught worms, and fed them to her chicks. The other bird woke up late and found nothing to eat."

"Socrates, what did you learn from this story?"

Socrates: "That the worms who wake up early get eaten by the birds!" ????

Socrates (470 – 399 BC)
