What an exciting week it was for the RunThrough community, filled with trail adventures, city sprints, and unforgettable race day moments! From challenging trails to flat, fast circuits, runners of all abilities pushed themselves to new heights. Here’s a look back at the incredible events that took place last week.
12th October - RunThrough Trails Ladybower Reservoir Presented by The North Face and SportsShoes
We kicked off the weekend with the breathtaking RunThrough Trails Ladybower Reservoir event, presented by The North Face and SportsShoes. Set in the heart of the Peak District, this trail event offered distances from 22k up to 53k, challenging runners to navigate the stunning yet demanding terrain. The reservoir's serene beauty and the surrounding hills provided the perfect backdrop for a truly rewarding trail experience. With autumn colours in full bloom, runners were treated to a visual feast while taking on the challenging course. Whether tackling the shorter or longer distances, it was a day full of adventure among the trail running community.
12th October - Lee Valley VeloPark 1 Mile, 5k, 10k, 10 Miles & Half Marathon
Also on Saturday, we headed to the iconic Lee Valley VeloPark for a fast and flat race day. With distances ranging from 1 mile to half marathon, runners had the opportunity to chase personal bests on this closed-road circuit. The smooth, undulating course allowed participants to focus on speed, with many achieving new PBs. From beginners to seasoned runners, the atmosphere was electric, with plenty of support and excitement throughout the day. It was a fantastic event for runners of all abilities, pushing the pace and enjoying a top-class venue.
13th October - RunThrough Trails Cannock Chase Running Festival 5k, 10k & Half Marathon
On Sunday, we took to the gorgeous trails of Cannock Chase for the Cannock Chase Running Festival. With 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon distances, runners were treated to a beautiful and challenging course through the lush forested landscape. The crisp autumn air and stunning views of one of the UK’s most beloved outdoor locations made for a perfect day of running. Whether taking on the shorter distances or conquering the half marathon, participants embraced the natural beauty and the challenge of this off-road adventure.
13th October - Regent’s Park 5k & 10k - SOLD OUT
Meanwhile, in the heart of London, the Regent’s Park 5k & 10k event was completely sold out! This popular race saw runners take on a flat and fast course through one of the city’s most iconic parks. With clear autumn skies and plenty of enthusiastic support, runners flew through the course, chasing their personal goals and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.?

16th October - Chase The Moon Battersea Park 5k & 10k
Midweek brought us the Chase The Moon series at Battersea Park, offering 5k and 10k distances under the moonlit sky. This night-time event is always a favourite, with runners taking on the fast, flat course around the picturesque park. With the cool evening air and twinkling lights, participants enjoyed the thrill of racing under the stars. Whether it was a quick 5k or pushing for a 10k PB, Chase The Moon once again delivered an exciting and unique race experience.
19th October - Swim Bike RunThrough London Aquathlon - SOLD OUT
The weekend continued with the Swim Bike RunThrough London Aquathlon, a sold-out event that saw athletes take on the thrilling challenge of a swim-run race. With a mix of swimming in the iconic London Aquatics Centre and running around the Olympic Park, participants put their endurance and versatility to the test. This event sold out quickly, proving that multisport racing is as popular as ever, and it was a fantastic day for those looking to combine their swimming and running skills.
20th October - Rugby Half Marathon
Sunday saw the Rugby Half Marathon, where runners took on a picturesque course through the heart of Rugby. The closed-road event offered a challenging yet rewarding route, with plenty of support from local crowds and a friendly atmosphere. Runners pushed themselves over the 13.1 miles, enjoying the crisp autumn air and the satisfaction of completing a half marathon in this historic town.
20th October - Running GP at Goodwood Motor Circuit
To round off the week, we headed to the iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit for the Running GP series, offering distances from 5k to marathon. Known for its flat and fast course, this race day provided the perfect opportunity for runners to push for personal bests on the famous racing track. With ideal running conditions and a supportive atmosphere, the event was a huge success, with runners of all levels enjoying the thrill of running on one of the UK’s most legendary circuits.

From the stunning trails of Ladybower Reservoir to the fast circuits at Goodwood, last week’s events showcased the variety and excitement that RunThrough is known for.
