The television adaptation of the game, produced by HBO and broadcast in 2023, resumed the story of the first game, with some changes and additions. The series was carried by talented actors, such as Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, who played Joel and Ellie respectively, as well as other stars, such as Nico Parker, Merle Dandridge, Anna Torv, or Gabriel Luna. The series was faithful to the game, both visually and soundly, with the music composed by Gustavo Santaolalla, who also signed the original soundtrack of the game. The series was a critical and public success, and it was nominated for several awards, including 24 Emmy Awards and 3 Golden Globes.
