Sustainability with BDC: Farming in unlikely places
Alida Burke and Corey Ellis founded Growcer while on a school trip to Iqaluit, Nunavut. Growcer manufactures indoor farms that are housed in 40-foot containers and use nutrient-rich water, instead of soil to grow vegetables in Nunavut. Growcer helps eliminate the cost and time to give locals vegetables that are still fresh and nourishing.
