I'm changing my focus. There's business to build, clients to consult, and products to make. There's the PhD, two universities, communities, arrrghhhh... Some may be surprised, but I'm not a fan of long retrospectives or writing a diary. These letters are an effort. However...
A situation from yesterday's sprint review + closure + retrospective + planning meeting. Yes, we have weekly sprints and this meeting takes us 30 minutes. It is not easy but achievable. Some certified Agile coaches probably just got a little heart attack :) Anyhow, the team closed the sprint and started discussing items for the next sprint. I stopped them and asked, "Could we please spend 3 minutes discussing how the sprint went?" Of course, in the end, it took us 5 or 7 minutes. Reflecting is very important. But it doesn't mean that we need to spend an hour on it.
Vladimirs Ivanovs , thank you for your advice on the Poker Planning cards. I bought them and then understood that it's not what I was looking for ?? I discussed it with the team and we agreed that we need standard ones. However, your simple advice "Just use your fingers!" worked perfectly well. As long as it's real-time in person in one room, yes, it works.
But yes, this is the last newsletter. I'm closing my theatre this Saturday. Nāciet skatīties! https://www.bezrindas.lv/lv/izrade-tavs-sapnis-vel-nav-beidzies/12749/
