1. Digital Pharma

  • The iRhythm digital heart monitoring service is backed by NICE
  • Automated AI measurement of abdominal fat predicts major cardiovascular events
  • Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership's dementia programme, Dementia United, has created a new app for people living with dementia
  • Kaiser Permanente physicians can order digital health apps for patients through EHR

  • Amazon’s body-scanning Halo fitness band is now available to everyone in the US
  • Europe clears Google-Fitbit acquisition but with a ten-year ban on using health data for ads
  • Swedish startup Flow sees 247% boost in sales of brain stimulation headsets during pandemic

  • Abbott scores Emergency Use Authorization for its at-home COVID-19 antigen testing kit. Patients are virtually guided through the steps of sample collection and testing. And the LabCorp COVID-19 test kit has been approved for sale over-the-counter
