Last Minute Creativity

I was asked to deliver a very last minute speech at Toastmasters last night. It reminded me of three things relevant to personal growth and fulfillment:
1) Sometimes tackling something unanticipated and last minute is when you do your best creating.
2) We have more to draw from in creating than we realize.
3) Just do it. Say yes. It's easy to say, "Oh I won't have time to put something together!" But then you can surprise yourself. And then you'll want to do more.
Based on feedback, my speech ended up being one of the most powerful ones I've delivered. The speech, an assignment on dramatic delivery, was fresh but based on my 2017 Missing Pieces blog - https://www.karencarlucci.com/reboundandre…/…/missing-pieces
When's the last time you grabbed a last minute opportunity, prepared or not?
