Last Friday was my last day at L’Oréal - things I have learnt the past 4.5 years

4th July 2016 was the first day of my full-time internship at L’Oréal Hong Kong, the beginning of the most rewarding learning journey in my career life so far.
Helped HRBP on engagement projects, C&B on pre-onboarding system analysis, Retail HR on frontline recruitment, Learning team on training sessions, and of course TA professional recruitment and campus programs engagement as my core focus; I am truly grateful for all the project exposure during my internship.
One of the comments I received at my internship graduation, ‘Sara positions herself not as intern but a perm staff, never shy away from taking new responsibilities’ really shaped my working morale today: If you want something real bad, you will try hard to learn and do well. People around you will for sure notice it and appreciate your efforts.
From a professional recruiter to campus recruiter (many call me the MT & Intern Mom), I cannot be more thankful for the opportunities and trust HR team has given me. I speak from personal experience when I share with candidates how L’Oréal is the place for dreamers, risk-takers, hard-workers and simply people who believe the sky is the limit and enjoy project ownership. The trust in young talent from the company starts early.

I am super lucky to have the opportunity to help the 3 entities under OneHK revamping the full-time internship since 2018, recruiting the largest batch of MT in 2019, bringing Team HK to #8 in Brandstorm globally and boosting Universum ranking to #6 in Hong Kong in 2020. Team is the new hero, these cannot be possible by one individual.
I am now excited and ready to start my new learning journey outside of L’Oréal after some amazing impacts. L’Oréal is the first work place where I have my proud and joyful moments, I will forever keep her in the special spot in my heart.
Off I go, bringing my learning from L’Oréal to my next adventure!
