Last day to book @ early bird rates

Thanks to our event and award sponsors, CIBSE ANZ will be extending early bird rates to attend the 2018 Annual Cocktail Function and Young Engineers Awards until tomorrow.

The newly refurbish Westpac Long Gallery at the Australian Museum in Sydney will come alive as the setting for this building services night of nights. 

The event will include a special presentation from the museum’s award-winning exhibition designer, Aaron Maestri. Maestri will present on the history of the museum and specifically on the refurbishment challenges the museum encountered when redesigning the Gallery last year, including that of installing building services in the 150-year old heritage building.

Guests will have exclusive access to the treasures of the gallery whilst treasure of another kind is revealed when the winners of the CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Awards are announced during a dedicated ceremony.

CIBSE is delighted with the range of organisations that have nominated graduates and young engineers for the awards and the high standard of entries. Judging panelist and Senior Lecturer at Unitec Institute of Technology, Roger Birchmore commented that "Commitment to environmental, wellness issues and the willingness to push technological boundaries bode well for the challenges faced by increasing urbanisation and depleting natural resources." Finalists for all three categories will be announced early next week.

This is a night for the building services industry to come together, network, as well as support and recognise outstanding young engineering talent from around Australia and New Zealand.
