THE LAST DAY OF 2020

Humanity was hit hard this year. It was beat up. It was brought down to its knees. The pandemic and many other adversities punched and punched and punched... and punched again. Always very hard. We were knocked down over and over.

But we are resilient and strong. We got up every time we were knocked down. Sometimes we may have hesitated, but we always got up and kept relentlessly moving forward. A testament to the resilience and strength of the human spirit in action. A testament to what we are made of!

Humanity perseveres and prevails.

But it won't happen just by miracle. We will persevere and prevail because of the selfless, unconditional, loving, caring and amazing work that you and millions of people are putting in.

You, as the leader, you are in the front lines of a battleground to keep your organizations operating and your people safe, healthy and... well... sane during this chaotic and crazy year.

Most people are counting the hours for 2020 to end, wishing to erase 2020 from their memories. But I can't stop looking back and thinking: this year was the year of the Rise of High Performance Leadership

What each of you have done during 2020 is nothing short of incredible and wonderful, perhaps even border line with miraculous. Doing all you did to keep the world of work working, while also taking care of yourselves and your families... Amazing. Simply amazing. Kudos to you. Kudos because we can say with all certainty: it would NOT have been possible without you being committed to your work .

While there is so much negativity, pessimism and even pain around us, I can't help but think that in the last hours of 2020 we must find the energy to also celebrate that you went far and beyond anything anyone had ever expected. Once again, kudos to you... because you are awesome, and you showed your awesomeness.

In all the years ahead of us we must never forget what you did and accomplished in 2020.

I continue to have an unwavering belief in our potential. I celebrate what we've done during the most difficult year for humanity in a century, but also acknowledge that there's a lot of work ahead of us (and there will be time for that...). To know that the work is far from being done inspires me to keep pushing forward. I hope you are inspired too. That's going to keep us busy, learning and engaged in 2021.

For now, please say a prayer for those who are not with us anymore and send their families strength and love, give yourself credit for the powerful work you did this year, and visualize with optimism what you want 2021 to be like... because we are going to make it happen. I am sending you love, healing vibes and positive energy. 2021: here we come!
