The Pitch
10 hours of how Michael Jordan and the legendary 90’s bulls responded to the shit they took personal.?
The Gist
Arguably the best but certainly the most extravagant 30 for 30 from ESPN, The Last Dance is a sports fan’s pipe dream. The 1990 Bulls will forever be in the talks of ‘greatest sports teams ever’ because they dominated what many would consider basketball’s Golden Era. Phil Jackson, Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen and ‘Air’ Jordan took the franchise from being the laughing stock of the East to the boogie man in every other team’s closet. As they rounded out their second three-peat, they seemed unstoppable. But, a slowly decaying relationship with team’s management came to the forefront when the team learned ’98 would be their last year together. 14 years of footage and exclusive access during that last season resurfaced for this behind the curtain look at one of the world’s most iconic teams. ?
The Breakdown
Micheal Jordan is a contained sociopath and I mean in the most respectful way. One of the craziest things about sports is how some of the biggest stars channel something that wouldn’t fly in any other walk of life. Between a competition addiction, genius level body control and a otherworldly will power, Air Jordan was the perfect sports icon for the most exciting time in America’s history. What shocked people was that this Wheatie’s Box-ass team paralleled a boy band once that public eye was shut. Like I said before, a sports fan pipe dream and definitely worth the binge, The Last Dance will have you ready to running through a wall.?
