Last Call to join CIONEXT!

For digital leaders all across industries, there is no shunning the topic of innovation. Some of us like to portray it as a race, some prefer to concentrate on the tangible benefits it brings to the business and the people, but surely innovation is something that needs to be discussed on a regular basis and thought of strategically.

This is why at CIONET we decided to host the next CIONEXT conference with the theme “Digital Innovation Now”. We invited four international speakers at CIO level to present their perspectives on the advent of new technologies in the organisations they lead.?

The discussion will rest on three pillars: the role of AI, the benefits of automation, and the general state of innovation at the speakers’ organisations. We will briefly look at the history of digital innovation and, in the main part, focus on the implications of technology changes for business.?

We will also devote some time to the mutually reinforcing relationship between automation and AI, showing the possible ways forward, changes in work culture, and savings it might entail. Racing to innovate may turn out to be the decisive factor of success in the coming years—we will ask important questions about the readiness for the fast-moving world of tomorrow.

Among our speakers, you will meet Catriona Campbell MBE of 安永 UK&I, whom we interviewed in our Leadership Deep Dive series. Watch the full video on our YouTube and Vimeo channels to learn what Catriona, the author of “Living with AI”, thinks about the risks of AI and the search for innovative talent.?

Catriona worked in digital environments in the UK from the onset of her career, having graduated in psychology from University of Glasgow. She has finance experience from Barclays and was the founder of a successful startup, the International Technology Design Agency Seren. Currently, she holds the position of Client, Technology, and Innovation Officer at EY UK&I.

The second speaker we interviewed is Arlene Buehler of DB Cargo . Arlene has used her leadership talent across multiple continents with German technology giants such as Siemens AG, Volkswagen AG and Deutsche Bahn. Her experience begins with real estate and ranges into finance and logistics. She talks about the fusion of business and IT with special attention to creating communities.

Watch the interview to learn about co-creation as a methodology and how trains can boost the logistic chain across the world. The interview is available on YouTube and Vimeo.

Our third CIO speaker, Artie Debidien , comes from a finance and telecommunications background. She also brings rich consulting experience to the table being a courageous proponent of innovation and change. She lays a lot of emphasis on inclusivity, organisational change, and mindset shift.?

Coming soon in a Leadership Deep Dive interview, you will be able to witness the constant drive for innovation that Artie has embraced. Her 20 years of career have taken her to Dexia, Knab, NIBC, and now to the Dutch telecom KPN . She knows very competitive environments from experience and navigates the market with assurance.
