We all know that breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, and when it comes to enjoying an incredible holiday in a place like Tenerife, its relevance becomes even more evident.?

There is much to see on the island and a well-balanced breakfast provides the necessary nutrients to start the day with energy and make the most of all that this beautiful destination has to offer.?

Thanks to our desire to take care of our customers in a special way, our breakfasts have become an experience in itself. We have just renewed our offer of breakfast boxes to take in the room and our breakfast buffet to update it and continue to surprise our guests.

"Luxury in 2023 no longer has anything to do with the ostentatious luxuries of yesteryear, but is related to other types of values", explains Juan Carlos Clemente, our gastronomic advisor, who was in charge of designing this new gastronomic offer. "It has much more to do with things like authenticity and commitment to the exclusive proximity product of the territory".

The new breakfast boxes, baptized as "Las Ma?anitas de Baobab", now contain products that have much more to do with where we are located, as Clemente explains. "From now on, all the ingredients in the box will be locally sourced. For example, if we talk about fruit, it will change according to the season. Now in summer there will be papaya, bananas and red fruits. Within a month or so all the pip fruits like apricot, plum, peaches will arrive, and so it will evolve".

"Regarding bread and pastries, everything will be handmade, sourdough, and made by local producers or even in the hotel’s own kitchens," says the gastronomic advisor. "In the case of cheeses, all will be of Canary origin, with great presence of goat cheese, local cottage cheese, cherry tomatoes grown in the area, avocados, and we have replaced the salmon with smoked peto, a typical fish of the area that is caught in El Hierro and is made in La Gomera with salt from Lanzarote".

The goal of all this is for the customer to feel that they are eating a piece of the island and to try food that they will probably never have at their disposal in their place of origin.?

But these new breakfast boxes have not only taken care of the edible part. Clemente also explains how from now on all the containers in which it will be served will be returnable and washable, bringing the emission of waste to zero. "We have also incorporated the nutritional value provided by the ingredients you are taking with a complete table where you will see the calories, fats, carbohydrates and all the energy sources that you bring for breakfast. Finally, the customer can also find a QR code with three links that will show you three ideas to assemble breakfast and surprise your partner as you want to assemble it in bed, on the terrace or in the dining room of the suite".

But the changes in our breakfast offers have not only remained in "Las Ma?anitas de Baobab", but have also been extended to our breakfast buffet, the Bite Buffet, which has recently reopened and completely renovated.

"The changes there go in the same direction as the breakfast boxes," Clemente explains. "Many products from the area have been incorporated or replaced by others elaborated in an artisanal way in the hotel. It maintains a good supply of protein, such as bacon or eggs, but also, from now on we want employees to interact much more with the guest, creating a greater closeness with him and feel much more attended and comfortable," he concludes.
