On a production area of 3,800 m2 GOEBEL will produce 20.8 million blind rivets per month in Erkrath with +70 specialized production machines.

With a planned start date at the beginning of the 3rd quarter of 2023, Goebel GmbH will successfully relocate production to Germany and produce a variety of different blind rivets and toggle fasteners that proudly carry the "Made in Germany" label. The continuous efforts, investments and passion of the management team have made the Goebel Group one of the market leaders in the fastener industry.

The production facilities will be equipped with environmentally and energy friendly features, utilizing the latest solar energy technology to reduce CO2 emissions. Production will run in two shifts, five days a week, and have a capacity of 250 million pieces per year.

Coupled with a dedicated QC management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, which includes full documentation control of all stages of production, starting from the raw material wire to the final inspection of the finished product using the latest optical sorting equipment.

All packaging proudly bears the "Made in Germany" label along with a QR code that allows customers to download the complete certification package for the selected batch to their smart device.

Marcel Goebel, CEO of GOEBEL Group and Elias Goebel CTO of GOEBEL Group, have decided for themselves to take this step and are also leading the implementation.

Major customers from the industry have encouraged GOEBEL to make this investment. Some of them already have fixed supply agreements, which will lead to a direct good utilization of the machines.

The difficulties in the supply chains of the last years, the coming into force of the Supply Chain Act or the so-called Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) - in German about border adjustment mechanism for carbon dioxide (CO2) - should pay manufacturers outside the EU if they want to sell goods in the Union, where CO2 was emitted in production, in addition to the tense global political circumstances left no doubt for the start of this project.

Buying regionally has again become very much in focus according to surveys in the industry. Carefree supply from Germany with the predicate "Made in Germany"!
