Large square billet marking robot put into use

Recently, two manipulator automatic number-spraying robots for the large square billet continuous casting machine of the No. 2 Steelmaking Plant of Sanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. were officially put into use.

The manipulator automatic marking robot uses PLC as the control core and the robot as the execution device. It cooperates with the paint system to evenly and continuously transport a special high-temperature paint to the spray gun. The robot moves according to the required character trajectory for precise printing. This is the first time that an automatic marking robot has been used on large square billet in a steelmaking plant.

In order to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, the plant's technical staff, operators and manufacturers fully communicated and debugged the robot's operation many times. After four stages of on-site initial adjustment, equipment cold adjustment, equipment cold test and equipment hot test, the steel billet sections of 288mm×389mm and 325mm×389mm can be adapted. At the same time, the character size, character spacing and line spacing can be changed as required. . After the large square billet marking robot is put into use, the printed numbers are clear and the fonts are beautiful, which provides guarantee for the traceability of the casting process.
