LANSING, MI – Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, Mando “El Toro” Gutierrez, of Lansing collected a first-round submission win during his debut on UFC Fight Pass July 24, 2020. Gutierrez, 23, was the victorious bantamweight contender at the Legacy Fight Alliance (LFA) 86.
Mando Gutierrez locked in a rear-naked choke at the top of the two minute mark forcing a tap- out submission from opponent Jeff Jepsen. Gutierrez remains undefeated and improves his record to 4-0 while Jepsen falls to 5-3.
“The only thing crazier than the fact that I thought I could really make something out of this is the fact that I was actually right,” commented Mando Gutierrez. “I won’t stop till I get what I want, every fight just makes me more and more driven to take this all the way. Nothing felt better than being in this moment, pointing at my mom in the crowd and telling her that my time is coming. One day I’ll be able to say that I’ve got us, all of us.”
Mando Gutierrez is affiliated with Lansing’s Murcielago MMA Club. To learn more about Mando and his upcoming fights, follow him on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/MandoGMMA/, Twitter, @MandoGoes4Gold, and Instagram, eltorogutierrez.
