LANGUAGE AS TECHNOLOGY
TECHNOLOGY DOESN’T HAVE TO BE TANGIBLE.
It doesn’t have to be metal and plastic or accessed via a Web browser or have five bars of coverage to be effective. Technology can also come in the form of a speaking tool, a communication methodology that, like a gas-electric hybrid engine, allows us to further our position in a more economical manner. After all, it is defined as a “branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society and the environment … ”
However, we have grown to classify technology in only its most practical sense, as a tool of efficiency to avoid heavy traffic or be delivered coupons for frozen yogurt.
IN A WAY, BY LIMITING OUR INTERPRETATION OF TECHNOLOGY, WE LIMIT OUR USE OF IT.
In turn, if understanding the unique styles of co-workers and friends allows us to more efficiently arrive at solutions and increase Market Force, is that not a form of technology? Is that not interrelating with life? Can’t we use language to more economically arrive at a solution to a challenge?
Like the more common forms of technology, our communication skills also need to be re-charged and updated. We need to engage them frequently and access different sources of power to remain at full strength.
Coaching is that source of power.
That is why we offer our Market Force Minute and provide a wide array of programs and content—so we can help the users of our technology remain as effective as possible.
Our seminars and events are what keep us at Market Force International going too, because it’s critical that we continue to evolve our offering and remain fluent in the language of Market Force.
How are you using Market Force as a technology?
