Language of The Champions!

It was a very tough final match between traditional rivals in a popular sport.To their die-hard fans in the jam packed stadium both teams tried their level best to win the game, but as you know there would be only one hegemony winner be declared in the end.

When the captian of the winning team was asked to say something during the award ceremony . He said” It was great effort from the entire team. We did well but we still have improvements to make. It goes to show that hard work pays off”. Interestingly ,when asked again what there next target was after being declared world no.1 team,the captian replied that they always consider themselves no. 2 team of the world so they never stop improving.

What an interesting philosophy which truly describes a champion’s mindset and hunger for success.

What ever position, title,fortune,power,knowledge and status in life you have achieved so far,think of the no. 1 slot as perpetually empty so you have room for improvement and keep striving to achieve that position.Whatever level of success you have achieved now, remember that it carries a bigger margin for you to develop and grow further.

I also love listen to the champions when they lose. Have you also listened what they usually said in a pacific manner when face defeat “it’s only the game….. We will be back…….. We are just going to forget about this one and put our focus on the next game. ………We shall go back and talk about where we can do better and then do whatever it takes to win…..”

Have you fealt the positivity in such statements? Champions do not blame their coach,the weather,crowd,noise or media for their defeat.They take full responsibility for their failures, learn from their mistakes and take better steps next time. This is the reason why they get back on track of success and become champion again after such temporary defeats
