We all want to achieve more, get ahead and try new things. There is often a huge gap between what we often want and what we actually get. Inside that gap is worth exploring. I believe most people don't realize that whatever you want not only wants you but wants you to learn the language of the thing you want and that is what 96% of the people never do. I was at a 'Flag Football' event with my 12-year-old son and we both experienced the sport for the first time. My son didn't embrace the language of the sport and the struggle for 'first downs' and touchdowns and the fight between offenses and defenses to score and prevent scoring. I was fascinated and he was bored. The primary difference between us was how we experienced the occasion. He would have a better time if there was a place for him to experience 'kiddie' Flag Football'. So, how do you embrace the language of what you want? Try these six things; 1) Tap into the feeling of dissatisfaction or desire for more. Actually feel it inside yourself. 2) Make a decision about the feeling. 3) Take the obvious immediate next action. 4) Invest in yourself - time and money. 5) Find a coach or mentor to help you. 6) Join a tribe of like-minded persons and 7) Spend enough time to develop a new habit.
