LandTech Newsletter

Welcome to the first LandTech newsletter of 2025.?

?We've got lots to cover, so grab a coffee and get ready to dive in. First - a word from Jonny.?

Jonny's Desk ??

Hi everyone,?

With the wind of change in the air, 2025 is set to be eventful if still a bit unpredictable.?

What we do know is that we have some big releases coming. It's not even a bandwagon anymore, it's an express train to a new world - expect some AI super powers coming your way.?

First stop: A new, dynamic Insights Card. My Marketing team will edit this if I say too much because I'm supposed to keep hush hush on this one for now. But, what I will say: I've seen it already, it's incredible and it'll be with you soon.

(Marketing note: we'll let this one slide... but just this once!)?

Although we love it here in sunny Florida, we're making plans to take our product further afield and it'd be great to hear what states you'd like us to expand to next. If you're down to chat, book a demo with our team and we'll go from there.?

?There's a lot more coming too. Some of it is probably the boldest move we've made as a company in our 10 years of existing, it's that big. We'll make all our big announcements in these monthly newsletters, so make sure you continue reading them!?

Wishing you all success and good health in 2025.

Best wishes,

Jonny

What can we expect in 2025? ??

Florida’s housing market in 2024? Let’s be honest, it was a bit of a wild ride. Inventory has shot up - according to Redfin , the number of homes for sale in Florida rose by 23.3% and single-family homes had a 4.6 month supply (up nearly 44%), and so have insurance rates, with Florida homeowners paying the most for their home insurance compared to other states.?

But, what’s in store for 2025? Well, a new administration and shifting market conditions could mean a steadier pace, giving real estate pros a chance to strategize for the long game.?

For a more in-depth analysis of these trends and what they mean for you, check out our blog post below.

How you can meet Florida's multifamily housing demand ??

Florida’s multifamily housing market is booming. In fact, there are nearly 24,000 units projected to be delivered in South Florida alone by year-end and that (drumroll, please!)... is the highest total on record.?

So what’s driving this surge? Well, factors like significant population growth, expanding economic opportunities, and rising housing costs in urban hubs, to name a few. Availability of affordable housing is still a key concern, especially for young adults and professionals relocating to Florida.?

To meet this demand, builders need to identify prime locations for multifamily projects, and that’s where zoning and future land use data comes in. By understanding zoning regulations and future land use plans, you’ll streamline development efforts and ensure you’re one step ahead of the competition.?

For a deeper dive into this strategy, read our blog post below.

Find your layers, faster ??

The aim of the game is FAST (and easy). That’s why we’ve made it even easier and, you guessed it - faster, to find the specific data layers you need.

There’s no two ways about it: we’ve got a lot of data, and that can make finding the right data layer a little overwhelming. So, we’ve made a small but mighty change.?

Now, you can open the Explorer and tap the new ‘search for a layer’ box, enter your search criteria and instantly see a filtered list of layers that match your needs.?

In the example below you can see we’ve typed in ‘Water’. From here, we immediately see our Water Resources layer and can select from a range of options covering both Drinking and Waste Water.?

Niiiice, right?! If you’re a customer then head on over to LandTech now to try it for yourself.?

Or, if you’d like to see it in action alongside the rest of our powerful toolkit, click the link below to book a demo with one of our product experts.?

How Tech is transforming site selection ??

It’s a data-driven world and there’s no doubt about it: site selection tools are revolutionizing how real estate pros pinpoint prime locations, and LandTech are leading the charge.?

By streamlining the land acquisition process, we’re making it easier than ever for builders to find and secure the right opportunities - faster, and with better data.?

Recently, Thesis Driven assessed how cutting-edge technologies (like LandTech!) are transforming the way companies make those critical decisions when it comes to site selection.?

Solving problems for Real Estate Investors with Tech & AI ??

Land acquisition data is messy. Disparate sources, tricky-to-access records - it’s enough to frustrate even the most seasoned builders. But, what if it didn’t have to be so hard??

That’s exactly what LandTech CEO, Jonny Britton discussed in an episode of Uncontested Investing. He shared how LandTech takes scattered, hard-to-get data and transforms it into something you can actually use.
