The Zhuque-2 Y-3 carrier rocket blasted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Dec. 9, 2023. The carrier rocket blasted off at 7:39 a.m. (Beijing Time) and sent three satellites - Honghu, Honghu-2 and TY-33 - into planned orbit.?This rocket utilizes liquid oxygen and methane as fuel, featuring a stainless steel reusable design. Its first stage is estimated to be reusable up to 20 times, and it is anticipated to achieve its maiden flight capability by 2025.

This marks Zhuque-2 as the world's first liquid oxygen methane carrier rocket to achieve consecutive successful launches, further validating its technological maturity and stability.?Land Space stated that this signifies a significant milestone, starting the commercialization path from ground zero for liquid oxygen methane rockets.?Consequently, Blue Arrow Aerospace becomes the earliest domestic private aerospace company to achieve consecutive successful launches of medium to large liquid-propellant carrier rockets.
