LandRocker: Braving through the Unknown

Complicated blockchain mechanisms lie underneath these “No Man’s Sky”-style mining and crafting systems. These principles enable the players’ full ownership of their NFT assets which can be exchanged on a massive digital marketplace.

The Game Story

The 21st century came with rapid advancement in technology which burnt through Earth’s precious resources faster than ever before. As technology grew, the human desire to explore further into space grew with it. It was clear if we wanted to keep developing at this rate, we would have to start gathering resources elsewhere — tapping into the almost infinite supply of resources space has to offer.

Humanity set their sites on reaching Mars first, and in the Spring of 2033, a spaceship was launched as a joint effort between China, Russia, and the USA. They successfully landed on the surface of the Red Planet and spent the following years setting up research stations on and around our neighboring planet. While studying the Martian landscape, scientists discovered something truly remarkable, unfamiliar alien technology unlike any we had ever seen, hidden in an underground facility. They called the site U-Hub.

We finally knew for sure we were not alone in the universe. Budgets increased exponentially, and over the coming years, an entire city was built around the U-Hub site where humans worked year-round to uncover the secrets this alien technology held. For a short time, it unified the people of Earth with a shared goal and purpose. But as we’ve seen many times in human history, this peace did not last long. Differences of opinion on how best to study the technology arose, and ultimately two separate factions were born, the Lantenders and the Rockeneers.

A power struggle began between these two factions, and they fought tirelessly for control of the research facility on Mars.

Game Modes

Players will align with one of the two game factions and compete with each other across a variety of game modes, including action-packed PvP battle modes such as Domination, Death Match, and Battle Royale, as well as exhilarating vehicle-based racing modes.

By winning matches in these competitive modes, players earn NFT items necessary to launch mining expeditions to other planets of our universe and beyond. The discovery and exploration of unfamiliar planets across the sky is at the heart of LandRocker’s gameplay and introduces many unique ways that players can earn while playing.

The Moon City metaverse acts as the starting point for these ambitious expeditions into space. Using player-owned launch pads and space shuttles, players can launch mining expeditions to faraway planets in search of utility tokens, unique NFTs, and NFT crafting materials. The first player to discover and land on a new planet claims it as their own and receives a percentage of all future resources discovered here by other explorers, setting up a stream of passive income for the owner.

Launch pads and space shuttles are limited by their technology — upgrade them by crafting new NFT components to increase their potential, allowing you to travel even further into the night sky, discover more planets, and uncover the secrets of outer space. Launch pad owners can choose to keep their facilities to themselves and reap the rewards of their upgrades through their own private mining missions, or they can open them up to rental to other players for a fee, allowing for even more passive income.

Join the space race solo or with a guild and compete to lay claim on all the planets of the universe. As players reach further into the depths of space, new crafting materials and technologies will be discovered, introducing new craftable NFTs into the ecosystem.

Crafting and Upgrading System

The crafting system is the means of progression in LandRocker. Like other crafting games, players will have to scavenge and collect materials to create new items, all of which are minted as NFTs. There are eight basic crafting materials in the game which can be mined in Exploration mode, with more to be discovered as players reach further into the stars.

Combine crafting materials along with utility tokens to create NFT upgrades for your launchpad, space shuttle, and mining vehicle. By upgrading your equipment, you can travel further from the launch pad, discover new planets, carry more materials, and mine more efficiently. Investing in upgrades will let you farm additional tokens and crafting materials more easily.

All crafted NFTs can be traded on the NFT marketplace. The best part is, that the original crafter of an item will always receive a royalty every time an item they crafted is resold!

Alongside functional upgrades, gamers will also be able to customize the look of their vehicles and avatars using cosmetic NFTs, letting you flex your unique style in the competition.
