Landmeco and Letbek expand strategic partnership: ‘We need to play each other even better’

They have worked together for 25 years, and Letbek, which has worked with plastics for more than 50 years, helped develop version 1 of the well-known feeding pan, which is one of Landmeco's many products.

Anders Kristian Andersen, CEO of Landmeco, says that the two companies are ready to expand the strategic partnership.

‘After a year and a half of work, we have just signed an agreement where Letbek will produce and deliver a new item to us. At the same time, we have decided that several products we currently receive from other suppliers will be produced at Letbek,’ says Anders Kristian Andersen.

The long-standing collaboration has also been important in other ways for the partnership to be stepped up.

‘We don't know anything about plastics, but Letbek does. They've proven that for more than 25 years, and the things they say yes to, we can vouch for and go to market with,’ says Landmeco's CEO.

Geography also plays an important role in the expansion of the collaboration. Landmeco in ?lgod and Letbek in Tistrup are physically located within a radius of 15 kilometres.

‘A local partner who lives a neighbourhood away is a plus for both parties. So it's often better to meet physically and have a face-to-face dialogue. It has worked really well and there is no wrapping things up. We are honest about any challenges and through a constructive dialogue we find a solution,’ says Lars Krog, CEO of Letbek.

Today, Letbek has 150 employees and production in both Tistrup and Poland, which fits well with Landmeco's ambitions to grow in the coming years.

‘With Letbek's expansions, I think they have proven that they are ready to join Landmeco's journey, and it's no secret that we have big ambitions when it comes to growth,’ says Anders Kristian Andersen.

On that journey, one of the key words will be recycling.

‘At Letbek, we work with recyclable plastics. We are constantly trying to find solutions where the goods we produce and deliver can be returned to us. That way, the plastic can be recycled, and I look forward to Letbek and Landmeco challenging each other and playing even better together,’ says Lars Krog.

This approach suits Landmeco well.

‘Just six years ago, our customers would only buy products that were made of new plastic. Fortunately, that's no longer the case. As in all other industries and businesses, our customers are also more focused on the environment and recycling,’ says Anders Kristian Andersen.
