AbdulkhaliqAbdulkaderChamadia&Ors., centered around defendants running businesses under the names ‘Mr. Shoes’ and ‘Mr. Retail,’ who were found selling counterfeit products such as shoes, wallets, and sunglasses bearing the Louis Vuitton Trademarked Logo
The Plaintiff alleged that the Defendants, operating under the names "Mr. Shoes" and "Mr. Retail," were engaged in the sale of counterfeit products bearing LV”s registered trademarks, including the iconic "LV" monogram. The infringing goods were sold through physical stores in Surat, Gujarat, and online platforms, including Instagram and Telegram.
The plaintiff presented compelling evidence, including photos of the counterfeit products and screenshots of the defendants’ social media pages, which displayed the infringing goods.

Justice AmitBansal, in delivering the judgment, ruled in favor of Louis Vuitton, granting a permanent injunction against the defendants. The court found that the defendants had violated Louis Vuitton’s intellectual property rights by selling counterfeit products bearing the famous ‘LV’ logo. The judge emphasized that the defendants had taken unfair advantage of the brand’s goodwill, resulting in confusion among consumers.
