Landing Life?: more than just new service brand, a solid commitment to deliver excellence to our customers
Whether operators, manufacturers or technicians, everybody involved in aviation shares not only a mandate for flight safety, but also keep airplanes in the air as much as possible. Airlines and other operators have to count on us for fast, reliable and cost-effective aftersales service. In mid-October, Safran Landing Systems introduced Landing Life?, a single brand grouping all our support services. Our aim is to deliver the best possible customer experience, tailored to specific needs, as well as to spur innovation in services, in particular by capitalizing on the power of digital technology.
Safran Landing Systems already supplies landing and braking systems and equipment to more than 27,000 aircraft. Just last month, for instance, we delivered the 100th Falcon 8X landing gear to Dassault Aviation, and the 2,000th A330 landing gear to Airbus. Nearly 20 commercial and military aircraft manufacturers count on our products and services, some of them for decades already, because we span the entire product lifecycle, from design and production to in-service support. As the world leader in this market, we must continue to earn our customers’ trust. That is why we keep innovating, to consistently deliver the solutions our customers need in a fast-evolving market.
Through Landing Life?, we aim to simplify our service offering and also promote the diversity and flexibility of our support services for landing gear, wheels, brakes and associated systems. ?This will enhance the clarity of our portfolio, enabling customers to quickly and easily identify the solution that best addresses their specific needs.
Landing Life? addresses operators, maintenance centers and leasing companies. We make three primary commitments to our customers: keep their aircraft in the air, reduce lifecycle costs and share expertise. Only Safran Landing Systems can meet these commitments because of our long-standing experience with ATA32 equipment, giving us an in-depth understanding of the technical issues facing our customers and their specific requirements. Landing Life? is built on these very solid foundations, enabling us to come up with innovative and cost-effective solutions, tailored to our customers’ specific needs.
A slate of new digital services, such as Expert Link: This new video assistance service is designed for our customers’ technicians. Using just a tablet or even a smartphone, they can discuss any issue with our expert support teams via a secure link, whether they are out on the tarmac or back in the shop.
New data analysis services: Digital technology will be a key growth sector going forward, as well as accelerating the decarbonization of aviation. That is why we are making massive investments in data analysis services. Many airlines already call on our experts, who analyze in-flight data to develop operational recommendations that enhance equipment management and reduce maintenance costs, especially by calling on predictive maintenance. The ultimate aim is to reduce costs, ensure air transport safety and prevent flight delays and cancellations.
