Land for sugar, is history repeating itself!?!

When I was a little boy I learnt in the history lessons that my ancestors had given away vast pieces of land to foreign settlers for free or in return for trivial niceties like sugar and sweets.''How foolish!" I thought to myself with utmost disgust. 

History repeats itself. Fast forward thirty years later and I am living in a world where international digital companies are surmounting billions of wealth overnight. We all blindly signup to whatever they are offering without a second thought, just like our ancestors! If they are getting so rich so fast, have we ever stopped to think what it is we are giving away? My brothers and sisters, lets have a vision for value. Lets not give away our assets for free or for sugar, one day our children and grandchildren will look back and say, ''How Foolish!"
