Lamborghini Huracan Performante first-year allocation already sold out
Lamborghini has confirmed that the 2017 allocation of its Huracan Performante supercar.
And it seems that technical wizardry has won over customers in their droves, as the Italian manufacturer says that its first-year allocation of cars has already sold out – even though customers haven’t had the chance to drive the car yet.
Federico Foschini, commercial director for Lamborghini, told the Press Association: “We already did a pre-selling phase and we already have almost 1,000 customers waiting for this car.
“So already, this year is full, and we’re starting to collect for next year.”
On the subject of whether customers were existing Lamborghini owners or new to the company, he said: “We are finding a lot of our existing customers are interested, but also other customers who are just in love with this type of car.
“Of course, there is the Porsche 911 GT3, there’s Mercedes and Ferrari, but lots of people have found this is the right car for them in our range.
“We’ve found it’s been an excellent opportunity to bring in customers from other brands – this car hasn’t even started production yet. We’ve only done motor show previews.”
Lamborghini’s factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy is doubling in size to accommodate the Urus, the company’s new SUV which will go on sale next year.
