The Lakers Are "Stuck Like Chuck"
THE LAKERS ARE "STUCK LIKE CHUCK"
I watch alleged pundits talk about the socalled options that the Los Angeles Lakers have next season with respect to upgrading their roster. Zach Lavine has been talked about in particular, as well as a few coveted free agents. Sadly, for Laker fans, this will probably never happen.?
First of all, only an out of touch NBA president or general manager will even consider trading for Russell West brook, and assume his $47M salary for next season. Westbrook is a ball dominate player that plays with Lebron James, another ball dominate player, and their chemistry is abysmal. Furthermore, Russell Westbrook's play has been like a Shaqtin A Fool movie. To say that he stunk last season is an understatement because his game has deteriorated, and he was atrocious simple as that.
Also, because of the salaries of Russell Westbrook ($47M), Lebron James ($44.5 M), and Anthony Davis ($38M) there is only enough room under the salary cap to get a midllevel tax exemption player,?which is only $6M, and maybe a couple NBA minimum salary players. Since the average NBA player salary will be $10.4M next season, this means that the Lakers can only fill their roster with "below average" players.

Any player movement would have to involve a sign and trade deal that includes Westbrook. I may be wrong, but the only GM that would be foolish enough to trade for Russell Westbrook is Daryl Morey of the Philadelphia 76ers. Unfortunately, for the Lakers, Morey has already traded for another equally washed up turnover machine, and the actual "Shaqtin A Fool Player of the Year" James Harden. Morey could make an even trade for Westbrook because Harden is due $47M dollars next season, but that would be like trading "bull sh*t" for "elephant sh*t" when they both need to be flushed down the toilet.
Furthermore, this is a unique opportunity for every NBA team to keep the champions from two seasons ago out of contention and out of the playoffs next season. The best part is that they do not have to do a thing. When the Lakers traded for Russell Westbrook, the notorious triple double king, what they got was "fools gold" instead because Westbrook also brought his dreadful 4.0 turnovers per game with him.
Lebron James will comeback ready to play, and he may pass Kareem Abdul Jabbar as the All-time scoring leader in NBA history next season. Anthony Davis may also come back healthy and continue to be a force in the league. Unfortunately, Westbrook WILL be back turning the ball over like a "secret agent" for the other team, and that will decimate any chances that the Los Angeles Lakers have of being a serious contender, or making the playoffs.??
