Lairds AV Newsletter - October 2022

BOO! Like the ghost of Halloween’s past, it is time we take a look back at October 2022! The holiday season is rapidly approaching which means the year will be over before we know it. October has been a whirlwind of a month and the team has been thriving on the challenge of a wide range, and quantity, of work! So, forget about things that go bump in the night, it’s time for an AV delight!

Projects:

October has been a whirlwind month when it comes to the work our team has carried out. Hotels, estates, boats, offices, museums, homes, and cottages; our technicians have seen it all this month.

The first half of the month we found ourselves without Mark, so in his absence Jack stepped up to lead the tech team. On top of his regular duties of working on site, Uni work, and carrying out maintenance in the office; Jack has been responsible for arranging work dates. He has become the technical liaison for clients, a role that he has risen to and then some!

With Mark back in the office, Jack is still living up to this standard and the rest of the team are following suit! We are immensely proud of how well the team performed in Mark’s absence and how they are maintaining this high level of work with him back.

But don’t forget, Mark is still the big bossman around these parts!

Around the Office:

The jobs have come fast and all at once this month, but that’s just how we like it! With Mark away for the first half of the month, the office was noticeably quieter, but we were as busy as ever!

Jack and Michael worked together to arrange work dates, equipment orders, equipment preparation, and site surveys. The two rose to the occasion and helped keep the Lairds AV machine running without the company’s namesake.

Now as the reigning Employee of the Month, Laura has been enjoying her crown. But the Employee of the Month for October is being announced shortly! And in a month where we were Mark-less it is anyone’s title to take!

Events:

At the start of the month Mark arrived in Langkawi, ready to take on his Jungle Challenge with Maddog Adventures! And just over two weeks later, he was back in our office swinging on cables like they were vines!

While he was away the Lairds AV team kept the ship afloat, and our lovely clients, families, friends kept the donations coming. By the end of it, Mark raised a whopping ￡2,106 for Combat Stress: The Veteran’s Mental Health Charity.

The experience is once in a lifetime and while we are happy to have Mark back, you can see the longing in his eyes when he sees a tree.

Upcoming Event:

Now we have something very exciting in the works that will be getting announced throughout November 2022. Some of you may already know what it is, but for now we are playing our cards close to our chest!

So, keep your eyes open for an upcoming announcement on our social media.

Featured Setup:

For October 2022, we have decided to flip the script slightly, to keep things fresh. Rather than posting a featured brand, like we have been doing so far in 2022, we have been sharing out ‘Featured Setup.’

Sharing a wide array of technology, with different wants and needs in mind, these posts have been a way to highlight one specific area of AV. We know our industry can be quite overwhelming, so our hope is to help break it down into simpler chunks.

From screens to speakers, lighting to seating, our Featured Setup is like a pick’n’mix for home cinemas and media rooms! With a selection of brands to choose from, comfort and quality is guaranteed when you have a setup like these!

Looking Ahead:

November is the penultimate month of the year, the two month long run up to the holidays is a hectic time for any business. But the team here at Lairds AV are excited! Both to receive presents and to help give them out!?
