Lagrangian Particle Tracking in CFD
Overview
Lagrangian Particle Tracking (LPT) is a powerful technique used in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to simulate the behavior of individual particles as they move through a fluid system. In LPT, each particle is treated as an individual entity which interacts with the surrounding fluid, and its motion is tracked over time. This technique can be used to model a wide range of phenomena in areas such as engineering applications: simulating the mixing of fuel droplets in the combustion chamber of propulsion systems; environmental applications: simulating the dispersion of pollutants emerging from factories formation and growth of raindrops, and transport of atmospheric aerosols; medical applications: simulating the drug delivery to pulmonary systems and deposition of blood cells in the human body. 1 年Greetings! I'm very interested in T-flows! ..my burning question is, what distinguishes it from openFoam? Given that it appears that it was introduced after openFoam was around for a while, -why- was it introduced? ..it must be because it's better for some reason? or it's optimized for a particular kind of problem? or for solving on a given kind of hardware/software? I've seen it's specifically for linux.. I'm not clear if the same is true for openFoam.

1 年As someone who just got into CFD almost 2 years ago, I can’t thank you enough for sharing CFD contents ?? its so fun but there’s a lot more to learn, yet very few resources available. I hope to get in touch with you some day. Thank you again for this initiative!

2 年I would love to work with CFD but due to the non-availability of a simulation machine in our country, we normally suffer to get on the right track to learn CFD. Currently, I am working on numerical computing axisymmetric turbulent boundary layer flows. I want to learn about your experience working on CFD if you guide me then it would be better to move on the right track.
