Ladies, I see you shining!
LinkedIn is usually a professional platform, but let’s be honest, it's had its fair share of unexpected moments. I recently came across a post highlighting some cringeworthy DMs, and the first message read: “Can I be your husband?” It made me think of all the times guys slid into my inbox, forgetting that this is, in fact, a professional site. And I know I’m not the only one.
But let’s flip the script.
Some of us have found love on LinkedIn, whether for our career, a friendship, a business partnership, a game-changing piece of information, a job opportunity, a social connection, or even a future spouse.
Random business idea! In many ways, this is one of the most low-key effective match-making sites out there (though that’s definitely not its intent). After all, where else can you vet people based on their qualifications before a first conversation?
LinkedIn is a space where we meet business partners, co-founders, mentors, and people who inspire our next big idea. It’s where we find education, opportunities, and connections that shape our futures.
So, today, I want to shift the focus.
To every woman who has posted about strength, perseverance, grit, and resilience. Being authentically themselves, professionals who impact people every day. For those who have shared their journey through the hard times and made it through to the other side.
On this day and every day! I see you and honour you.
To all the incredible women on International Women’s Day: You are phenomenal. You are powerful. You are unstoppable.
Keep shining.
Happy International Women's Day?
From a Flawed Girl Philosopher, see you next week!
