For Lack of a Wetter Bird...

This... is a newsletter... in your inbox. Does that excite you? No? Ok; let me rephrase.

This is something I wrote that I hope you read. Yeah, that's def a better way to put it. Alright, that's the what and the where. Here's the why; pay strict attention ??

Actually, no.

Here's the who... I'm Troy ???? I'm a writer, and have done most of my work on a digital domain called Grits & Gospel , among?other fun places . I do funny stuff, some poetry and history stuff, culture stuff, music stuff, and more stuff. A lot of stuff, really (and pretty cool stuff, I'd say).

And yet still, to some, it’s simply much ado about what they call... nothing. Which truly is something, if you ask me. Not to me though. I wake up, follow my gut, and write hard as hell.

Yep. And, even though you didn't ask, ????♂? that's sort of an intro to the dude writing this "newsletter... in your inbox" ??. Alright, that's the who (and the how, actually ????) keep up!

So, back to the why...

... because I believe in community. I believe in joining hands to touch and agree. I real deal believe that sharing is caring (AF) and this is my version of that.

I believe in the connected, humorous, nature of everyday anecdotes and am interested in finding out just how fast good news can travel. That's why these emails exist. However, you must be warned that sometimes I stutter, sometimes I slur, and sometimes I simply don't have the phrases to articulate my thoughts - but shit, done beats perfect, doesn't it?

Does.

I won't bother you often; but if I do, I hope you smile out loud or laugh to yourself right there on the spot... or maybe decide to forward?to?a friend after you read it ... or even walk away with a new or useful perspective on something worthwhile. It's time to connect, folks.?And honestly, whether we come together to hear a good story, support a good cause, or help that good news travel, I can promise you a good time.

The thing is, life is happening all the time. And even though that's overwhelming, we're lucky because the answers to life’s questions are everywhere. As such, a "newsletter... in your inbox" may pop up at any day or time ??

If you cannot dig, you need to unsubscribe (no hard feelings, sucka!) and let these funky little stories of mine roll off of you like water on a wet bird’s back.
