The lack of understanding
I was thinking of the many of my favorite statements my dad would tell me, as I reflect back, I choose to believe I was his preaching practice “dummy” or I may have really been a special “hard case” as I have been told recently. He would say, son, once you have had better, you won’t go back to just being okay. Or the remarkable thing about fearing God is that when you fear God you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God you fear everything else. You can hear better with your mouth shut, the same as clarity is perfected on knees for needs. In the Bible as the disciples were commanded, we should also say nothing until the Son of Man has risen in us, until the life of the risen Christ so dominates us that we truly understand what He taught while here on earth. When we grow and develop the right condition inwardly, the words Jesus spoke become so clear that we are amazed we did not grasp them before. In fact, we were not able to understand them before because we had not yet developed the proper spiritual condition to deal with them. Jesus does not hide these things from us, but we are not prepared to receive them until we are in the right condition in our spiritual life. Jesus said in John 16:13, “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now”. We must have a oneness with His risen life before we are prepared to bear any truth from Him. Do we really know anything about the indwelling of the risen life of Jesus? The evidence that we do is that His Word is becoming understandable to us. God cannot reveal anything to us if we do not have His Spirit in us living and leading. And our own unyielding and selfish opinions and acts will effectively prevent God from revealing anything to us. But our insensible thinking will end immediately once His resurrection life and Holy Ghost has its way with us. “…tell no one….” But so many people do tell what they saw on their Mount of Transfiguration, their mountaintop experience. “Where we met Jesus” They have seen a vision, and they testify to it with their testimony, but there is no connection between what they say and how they live? Their lives do not add up because Jesus has not yet risen in them. How long will it be before Jesus’s resurrection life is formed and evident in you and in me? Make it a great day for yourself and someone else as we live to love and share Jesus with others.

The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy.
