Having no product knowledge means that you lack the mandatory skill for the business to run efficiently.

Knowledgeable members are naturally enthusiastic and as humans, we are more easily convinced by happiness and enthusiasm. It makes it more difficult and awkward to speak to a client about a product you do not know.

Customers are happier to interact with staff that is passionate and eager to divulge details about the products or services and how these will benefit the business of the customer. This passion is a positive reflection on the company as a whole allowing customers to trust the company with an investment.

Without the relevant information or knowledge, you tend to lack confidence in what you do and it will negatively affect the business as a whole.

The clients will think that the business is not trustworthy and professional. It is important to know that delivering good customer service is directly linked to good product knowledge.

If you consistently show poor knowledge, satisfaction rates will drop, making it hard to keep existing customers and even more difficult to attract new ones.
