Following an emotionally draining and tumultuous year, I am happy to share the news that I am currently raising money for cancer community, Alike. I will be running a marathon on 6th June to raise awareness and funds for the charity. I had hoped to run the Copenhagen Marathon earlier in the year but the race was postponed due to the pandemic.
Alike was founded by my close friend, Bradley Gudger, who is a double cancer survivor himself. Alike was created in an effort to combat the loneliness a cancer diagnosis brings with it - a truly unique and isolating experience. The app, which allows survivors and patients to connect and offer each other support, launched on Android and IOS earlier in 2021. Think Tinder for cancer patients and survivors. In order to follow through on his promise of 26.2miles, I will be running my own race around Central London on 6th June. I have raised over ￡600 so far and would like to surpass my target of ￡1,000!
