Why do eggshells sometimes have black spots??
You may have noticed that some eggshells are discolored with dark brown spots. This is known as a “speckled” egg.
What causes these dark splotches?
During the formation of the eggshell, there is inflammation of the uterine mucosa, which leads to the imbalance of local secretion, resulting in the formation of some small black spots on the eggshell.?
The deposition of endotoxin causes dark spots to form on the eggshell. Endotoxins, such as mycotoxins, drug toxins, etc., will deposit on the eggshell to form the problem of black-spotted eggs.
Foreign matter in laying hens or feed deposits on the eggshell causes dark spots.
For “speckled” eggs, many farmers have used many drugs to treat salpingitis, but the problem has not improved. If the problem of the reproductive system is ruled out, then it is likely that toxins cause the “speckled” eggs.?
Bile acids can actually improve “speckled” eggs. Farmers reported that after using bile acids, usually for about 7 days, the black spots on the eggshells will be significantly reduced.
This is because bile acids accelerate the degradation of mycotoxins. The non-polar groups of the bile acids that are excreted in the intestinal tract bind to mycotoxins (mycotoxins are lipophilic), enhancing the water solubility of the toxins. Moreover, bile acids can improve the ability of intestinal enzymes (esterase, cyclooxygenase) to enzymatically decompose toxins, transform mycotoxins into non-toxic substances, and excrete them with feces, reducing the harm of mycotoxins.
After the toxin is gone, the body becomes healthy, so the black spots on the eggshell disappear, and the quality of the egg is improved.
