Labour Law
Labour law in Pakistan is governed by the Employment Act of 1976, which sets out the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees in the country. The Act covers a wide range of issues, including working hours, leave, termination of employment, and the protection of wages.
Other laws that relate to labour in Pakistan include the Industrial and Commercial Employment (Standing Orders) Act 1968, which sets out the terms and conditions of employment in industrial and commercial establishments, and the Minimum Wages Ordinance 1961, which sets minimum wage rates for various categories of workers in the country.
In addition to these federal laws, there are also provincial laws that govern labour in Pakistan, such as the Punjab Labour Act of 1965 and the Sindh Labour Act of 1965.
