How do you feel today? Are you joyful, happy, worried, or anxious? It's a simple question that isn't always easy to answer, right?
We often forget about ourselves and do not take the time to connect with our bodies, emotions, and feelings.
I will help you reconnect with your senses and relieve stress.
Simple tasks that have a significant and calming effect. So, when fighting and resisting stress, use all your senses! Because stress affects the entire body, try to find ways to relax each of your senses.
HEARING
Say the affirmation and say "thank you" out loud.?Words can be a very effective stress reliever. Repeat words that calm you down; say, "everything is fine" or?I'm OK" or just words of gratitude, "thank you, thank you, thank you."?
Write these words down and keep them in your field of vision so you can read them automatically several times a day.?
Listen to music that calms you down. Dance. Sing.?
Sound vibrations calm thought waves and relax the entire nervous system.
TOUCH
Shake off the tension. Shake the stress away.?
Imagine that stress is like rain running down your body, you are wet. Shake off like a dog just out of the water.?
Release the emotions that are stressing you out.? Cry, laugh, scream, and let all the weight you feel in your body go out.?
If and when this technique is not possible, a hug is also great. Hug a stuffed toy or a loved one.?
领英推荐
Visit a shelter or get a pet because petting a dog or cat lowers cortisol levels, a stress hormone.
VISION
Look at yourself in the mirror. To get rid of worries or improve your self-esteem,?first calm your mind and say encouraging affirmations out loud to yourself.
Look in the mirror and tell yourself, "I am excellent at what I do." or "I am the best the way I am."
It makes no difference what kind of mirror you look at; it can be a toilet mirror, a shop window, a rear-view mirror in a car, etc.
SMELL
Keep your favorite scent always on hand, either in a perfume bottle or a tissue... so you can smell it when you're scared.
Lavender has been shown to be calming. Consider purchasing an aromatic oil or burning candles scented with its scent.?
Make coffee, tea, or food whose smell puts you in a better mood.
TASTE
Chew gum as it is an excellent stress reliever due to the pleasant taste and the act of chewing.?
Consume stress-relieving foods such as pumpkin seeds, almonds, pistachios, and chia. Or hemp seeds, dark chocolate, berries, as well as vitamin C-rich fruits such as grapefruit, oranges, strawberries, and so on.?
Eat slowly and enjoy the positive feelings that food produces.?Don't forget to listen to your body and offer it at least one drawer from the laboratory of feelings.?
Your body will appreciate it.
