Lab Technician

Michroma is looking for a Lab Technician to join the team in Rosario, Argentina. We are looking for someone for the Lab Support team who wants to collaborate with Product Development.

About the team

Michroma is a biotech/ food tech platform producing natural ingredients in a sustainable, scalable, and cost-effective way. We are using synthetic biology to unleash the potential of filamentous fungi and develop proprietary strains capable of producing high-performance ingredients in bioreactors.

Required experience

• 1+ years of laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with using a rotary evaporator.
• Basic knowledge in HPLC.
• Ability in the preparation of materials for Downstream Processing.

Job Responsibilities

• Purifying samples (using thin layer and column chromatography).
• Concentrating samples using a rotary evaporator.
• Preparing material for DSP.
• Preparing solutions, and laboratory material for the development of R&D activities.
• Assisting in experiments in the R&D areas.
• Cleaning and calibrating equipment.
• Inventorying management.
• Cleaning glass/plastic material.

Education & Skills

• Laboratory Technician, or a related field.
• Management of good laboratory practices.
• Problem-solving: the ability to efficiently solve technical challenges.
• Initiative and Proactiveness: enhancing laboratory work, optimizing processes, and contributing to project advancement.
• Adaptability: quickly adapting to new situations, taking on different roles, and finding creative solutions to overcome challenges.
