As we enter a full “recognized” year of this COVID-19 Pandemic, I have been able to visit our Mass Fatality Partners, recently met with Chief Elias and would be remiss in not recognizing ALL the difficult work Sheriff-Coroners and Medical Examiners are enduring. The number of COVID-19 related decedents have reached the 20,000 + grim milestone and even though the number of deaths are trending “a bit” downward, these numbers are still above average. Thanks to the California State Coroners Association for staying engaged during these absolute unprecedented times with Cal OES Partners.
