Everyone and their cousin is trying to harness the power of AI these days. The language of AI has entered into the mainstream of conversations across all industries.
But AI is not the magic answer to everything. Recently there have been questions like “How could we use AI, machine learning, or GPT for something useful?”
It is not uncommon today! Imagine that you are in a meeting or passing by your office. You hear your boss talking loudly on the phone or your colleagues discussing generative AI, and you can tell that they are very upset about something.
“We must have an AI strategy.”
“Our competitors are using AI — so should we.”
“We are the best AI company! Hire us, and we will solve all of your problems.”
When you back to your home and scroll your LinkedIn home and are hooked on trending topics likely Apple, with its Vision Pro, had brought a new spin to this game of raising money. Metaverse has again come to life. NVIDIA is powering this idea with its omniverse. See! AI was center stage at Google I/O 2023 and much of it was generative AI (GenAI). As the market becomes flooded with more generative AI products, it's inevitable that people will start to get confused about the various new ideas and offerings from different startups.? Now you are thinking, about what you are doing in your daily life, right?
If you took the word "AI" out, is the product still solving a customer problem? ???? ???? ?? ????????????????, ?????? ?? ??????????????!

Ask yourself:
1. What is the pain point?
2. How many users share this pain?
3. Is the pain big enough to take action?
4. Is the pain underserved by non-AI tools?
There is constant churn and new ideas are coming dime a dozen every day. The world of tech is ever-changing. That's what makes it very exciting. At the end of the day, however exciting the tech may be, it has to solve a problem that we humans are collectively facing. This solution has to be cost-effective and an efficient one from the existing one. Otherwise, there is no point.
???? ???????????????????????? ???????????????? ???????? ???? ???? ???????? ???????????? ???????? ???? ???? ???????????????????? ???? ????????????. The reality is startups are already struggling, the majority of the A.I. startups just won't make it even with impressive funding rounds because the tech is not yet useful at scale. The early innovators will be easily disrupted since LLMs are accelerating at their own pace.
AI is not the destination, it's the vehicle. We know there is a buzz — but with so many unknowns, AI quickly feels like a solution in search of a problem.? we cannot develop AI solutions in a vacuum — you need to know exactly what problems you are trying to solve.
